Gary Mills and friend Dennis were here on the beach swim on Beattie’s Had 11 fish out between them up to 21lb on Cc Moore live system boilies.
James Snell (below) landed 12 fish in a 48 hour session from the Dam wall on Lodge lake using Nash & C R Baits p to 17lb 4oz.

Steve has made some stunning catches throughout this year at the fishery and his photos are very welcome.

Carp anglers at Stafford Moor sometimes get more than they bargain for ! The above eels were accidental catches but I know of eels to over 8lb caught by design. The attraction with eels to some is the mystery that surrounds them for these are wild fish that live hidden within our waters and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that eels in excess of the British Record live in waters in North Devon.

Over 50’s festival 2017 The winner was Andy Dare who had a perfect score just 4 points and a total weight of 510lb 7oz, In 2nd place was Mark Layzelle who had 5 points with 277lb 14oz and in 3rd place was Keith Winn with 7 points and a total weight of 339lb 12oz.
