Stafford Moor – New Lake Record

Chris Ayre fished a 48 hour session on the Inlet swim on Beatties lake and had 9 fish out including a new lake record of 36lb along with other carp of 31lb and 29lb. All the fish were tempted using Mainline Hybrid boilies.

(Below) Nigel Bassett  fished on swim 2 (sunset swim) on lodge lake. Nigel had out 14 Carp to 29lb 12oz. Nigel was fishing with Sticky baits Manilla 12mm wafters.

(Below) Clive Ashford who has had 7 carp out up to 27lb 13oz from swim 14 (beach 1) on lodge lake yesterday . Clive was fishing with Sticky baits krill and CC moor pacific tuna boilies.

Stafford Moor Re-Opening Sport

The  Combes family at Stafford Moor are delighted to be open again for fishing with carp anglers returning to the venue to enjoy the superb sport on offer. ,

Got some fab photos below of just a few catches over the past few days from our specimen lakes. Including Joey Gould, Jack Cook, Harry Burslem, Billy Knowels , Jason Hammond, Wade Holmes, Chris Ayre just a few names of our carp guys .

Early post lockdown Carp sport

Simon Hill fished for a few hours at Lower Slade landing five carp off the surface with the biggest being a fine 25lb common. Stuart Wade has been  among the fish again landing a cracking mirror carp at just over 20 lb Kevin Geary doing a session landing 3 carp all mid doubles Toby Bassett has also been on the carp with a fine 19 lb fish caught with in the first 20 minutes being in the swim.

Anglers are reminded to follow guidelines of social distancing.

“A friend of mine recalculated the statistics earlier this week: the UK has 11% of recorded global Covid-19 deaths but just 0.8% of global population, with deaths still rising sharply at the point of easing lock-down.  You are all clever people, so draw what you may from those stark figures, recognising also that they are based on at best fragmented data given no widespread testing.  Repeating what is at the head of this note, stay well, stay safe and stay sane!”

Big South West Lakes Carp!

Its not a North Devon carp but thought it worth sharing as its a superb West Country Specimen!

Massive well done to Wayne Bateman for catching ‘the secret’ from Argal reservoir at 40lb 2oz! Argal, part of the South West Lakes portfolio, has been in really good form recently.
Wayne caught it on a very big bed of mainline fibre boilies fished snowman rig style along with a 3.5oz Westcountryleads flat pear. Congratulations Wayne!

Carp and Cats at Paradise

ELDORADO PRODUCING THE PERSONAL BESTS!

Dave King fished at Anglers Eldorado at the weekend for a Day and Night fishing session and managed to catch 2 personal bests, a 20lb 5oz Common and a 20lb 8oz Mirror both from the Bottom Cat and Carp Lake. He also caught a 16lb Common and a 23lb 10oz Catfish in the night!

Dave caught the beauties using Sticky Baits Krill topped with a Sea Monster or a Hell pop up from Baitworks.

The latest winter catches from Stafford Moor

(Below) Liam Brookes  fished on the inlet swim on Beatties lake and had 3 fish out . All fish were caught on Sticky Baits Manilla sizes 12mm, 16 & 20 all soaked in Manilla liquid Liam used a max of 20/30 Baits which he scattered over the top with a throwing stick.

(Below) Neil Harvey and his friend Simon Allsop  fished  the Dam wall on Lodge lake and banked three carp., Simon had a 28lb 8oz mirror , Neil had 2 fish out up to 27lb 8oz a new pb for Neil  caught on cell glugged in cell hookbait dip also added a few sticky baits Manilla boilies & crushed cell , Korda almond goo.

(Below)Lee Roper fished up on lodge lake and had 2 fish out up to 30lb on the nose ! Lee caught on banoffee flavoured boilies from Outlaw Pro Baits.

(Below) Andrew Van Koutrik and his friend Darren  had one fish out each from lodge lake in a Day session Andrews fish was a 25lb 15oz and Darrens was a 21lb 10oz caught on Sticky’s baits Manilla boilies.

(Below) Kevin Waldron  had five fish out from the inlet swim on Beatties lake all caught on DNA secret 7 plum flavoured boilies.
