SEA ANGLING COMPETITION RESULTS

 Andrew Clements won Bideford Anglings Clubs August Rover with a specimen thick lipped grey mullet of 4lb 6oz. Dale Kiff was runner up with a bass of 5lb 4oz. Jenson Kiff was third with a smoothound of 7lb 6oz and Graham Snow forth with a thin lipped grey mullet of 2lb 14.5oz.

       Josh Atkinson was first and second and third in Appledore Shipbuilders sea rover with black bream of 2lb 4.25oz and 2lb3.5oz. A ballan wrasse of 4lb 12.25oz completing his domination of the scoreboard.

Bideford Rod N Reel Match Result

B.D.A.C Rod and Reel match results date 28.7.24 at Tarka
Today match was fished in lovely sunny conditions with a light breeze. Fishing was a bit hard for some but some good weights was weighed in. First place today went to Craig Lamey on peg 12 with a great mix bag of fish for 39lbs 5oz second place was Stephen Paul Sheller on peg 22 with a lovely mixed bag of fish for 32lbs 10oz. Third place was Richard Jefferies on peg 16 with a net of carp for 31lbs 10oz and forth place went to Antony Bentley with 29lbs 5oz.
The next Rod and Reel match will be at Tarka on the 25.8.24

Bideford Midweek Pairs Match

Midweek Evening Pairs Match.
Results:
1st Rhys Eyles and Darren Polden 96lb 12oz
2nd Nathan Underwood and Roger Ackroyd 69lb 8oz
3rd Warren Thornton and Kevin Maddocks 48lb 14oz

A wet cold evening didn’t put the fish off ,on this our final evening match. The pairs are drawn for this event , although the top three places didn’t need their partners weight !
Rhys’s almost 70lb catch from peg 4 was enough for victory on its own. His long pole luncheon meat approach, was backed up by Darren on peg 18.
Nathan and Roger came in second on pegs 16 and 2 respectively.
The evening matches have once again proved very popular with our members who have generally enjoyed good weather throughout the series and long may they continue.

Nathan Underwood continues his remarkable run of results, with another victory in our summer evening series. He has drawn peg 16 for the second week running! , and made no mistakes using the trusty pole and paste beside the lilly pads.
Second spot went to Warren on peg 13 using corn then meat over micros.
Kevin on peg 1 has caught some decent carp on hard pellets out towards the island for third place., moving him up the league into 4th position.
B.D.A.C.ROD AND REEL MATCH RESULTS DATE 23.6.24 AT TARKA
 The weather was sunny with some light rain at times. 13 anglers fished the match and all caught fish.
1st place today went to Richard jefferies on peg 10 with a nice mixed bag of fish for 35lbs 13oz, 2nd place was Darren Polden on peg 8 with 26lbs 13oz 3rd place went to Warren Thornton on peg 6 with 23lbs 9oz and 4th place was taken by 2 anglers Stephen Paul Sheller and Colin O’Hagan both had 22lbs 6oz next match will be on the 28.7.24 at Tarka.

Our members were treated to a beautiful midsummer evening, and the top three had a very close battle , Roger came out on top on peg 19 , he fished with a long pole to the island shallow with pellets.
Nathan has done his thing with paste off peg 16 for second place.
Craig has fished in the corner on peg 13, shallow with pellets for a very close third spot.

At the midway point of the summer league they were treated to a warmish, less breezy evening.
Nathan  once again performed his paste on the pole trick for yet another victory off of peg 9.
Ian ,on peg 6 , was a close second on 24lb with  Craig, not far behind in third on peg 1 with 23lb .

John has drawn peg 16 and fished worm over micros on a long pole for victory in this, the halfway match of our year long league.
Craig , opposite,on peg 12 has fished sweetcorn with a short pole for second place.
Birthday ” boy” Les has had a cracking mixed bag also on corn on the pole for third spot.
Steve on peg 6 has finished fourth using hard pellets.
A cold North Westerly took the edge of, an otherwise bright dry day, despite this, almost 450lb of fish were brought to the scales.

Pleasant conditions, warm but a sneaky North Westerly breeze,for this the fourth in the series.
That man Nathan on peg 9 has made it 3 on the bounce, with another victory, paste on the pole the winning technique.
Kevin on peg 1 has fished towards peg 26 again on pole and paste for second on the night.
Youngster, Thomas has made a welcome return and managed third spot on peg 13.
The Cornish Brummie settled for fourth.
