Brothers Aaron Bunning and our head Baliff Ashley decided to take advantage of their local Lakes here at Anglers Paradise and chose Nirvana’s Xanadu Carp Lake.
Aaron caught a stunning 22lb 2oz Common and a 18lb 8oz Mirror during his session using Nash Citruz pop up, flake and liquidised bread, and Ashley caught a lovely 20lb 14oz Common and also a 16lb Common using Nash Citruz Pop Ups over a bed of strawberry crush boilies. The fish are definitely warming up for Spring!

Zaine Drury-Gregorek who knows how to celebrate his 10th birthday and that was to go fishing! Zaine had a few hours on Anglers Eldorado’s Cat and Carp Lake 1 and caught a stunning Mirror and a lovely Common! Needless to say it was the best Birthday ever and he didn’t want to leave! Zaine caught the Carp using Munchbaits Citrus Blend Pop Ups.
Local Torridge District Councillor, Dermot Mc Geough and now a 5C’s member,(The Crazy, Crafty, Cunning Carp Catchers) fished the Main Lake at Anglers Paradise for his first proper fishing trip and managed to bag this 21lb 2oz Mirror Carp on 20mm Scopex Squid boilees. He was overjoyed as this was his first 20lb’er before this he had only small fish under 10lbs.
Bruce Elston used carp fishing tactics in to tempted a huge catfish of 54lb 8oz from Anglers Paradises Day Ticket catfish lake. Bruce used popped up Sticky Krill boils over bed of pellets.
Jacob Middleton, 17 had a session on Nirvana’s day ticket Kracking Carp Lake and caught Parrot at 45lbs 6oz making it Jacob’s new personal best!
Jacob shared – “I managed to set up on peg 2 and flicked out my right hand rod tight to lily pad spot that I had previously baited. I was fishing a Krank style rig topped off with an IB essential mainline wafter, clipped on with a pva mesh bag. It weighed in at 45.6 which was a new pb for me. Once again Anglers Paradise producing the goods for new PBs!”
2. TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
Congratulations to Arlene and Fred Mackenzie who together with team work landed Silverback at 50lbs 5oz from the Kracking Carp Lake.
Arlene shared – “What a wake up call 50lb 5oz but can’t claim it for myself as it was too much for me to land!! It was a joint effort with my better half Fred, not one hundred percent sure but think it’s called siiver back!”
One of angling greatest joys is introducing your children to the joys of angling. Damion Babb took his daughter Imogen to Anglers Paradise Day ticket Eldorado catfish lake where she caught a fine cat of 20lb 12oz. “Wow my girl with her cat that she wanted 20lb 12oz & she had a right old fight with it so proud of her”.
The fish won Imogen the complexes Fish off the Month Competition!
