Packs of tope are providing some fine sport for anglers fishing off Ilfracombe on Dan Hawkins boat Reel Deal.
Fine thin lips on LRF tackle
Ian Laird was enjoying some great sport in the Taw estuary using a baited spoon to tempt several thin lipped mullet up to 3lb 6oz. Seizing the opportunity he collected his son Ollie up from school to take him on short mullet session. An LRF outfit with 10lb b.s Spiderwire braid and size 3 customized Mepps lure resulted in Ollie landing a fine thin lip of 3lb 6oz.
Wimbleball In top form

Sport has been excellent at Wimbleball with quality rainbows taking several anglers to the backing from both boat and shore.

The predicted 80% chance of rain proved to be correct and the 13 competitors in round 6 of the NDMG Championship got a good soaking! Paul stuck to his favoured tactic of groundbait feeder with sweetcorn, pegged on the pink buoy,for the winning net of bream and skimmers, Christopher used similar tactics,with maggot, from the peg on the gorse bush . Neilsen pushed close with his pole fished net of roach from the Devon arm .Nathan won the next peg battle with team mate Pete , they finished 5th and 6th with nets of skimmers caught on the pole .

Stafford Moor Latest stunning carp catches
Jason Everleigh had three fish from swim 14 (beach 1) on Lodge lake up to 22lb 5oz fishing with Nash Strawberry Crush boilies.
(Below) Ash Graham had out 12 fish form the spit on lodge Lake up to 20lb 5oz caught on Sticky baits krill white pop ups.
(Below) Barrie Christian caught four carp up to 19lb 4oz from the double swim 1 on the dam wall on Lodge lake.
(Below) Danny Dew fished with dad Steve and they had six fish out up to 29lb 15oz caught on Sticky baits krill pop ups on a size 10 Chodd.

Combe Martin SAC member Ross Stanway enjoyed a wrasse fishing session with his son Charlie they tempted several topped by this fine fish of 4lb 7oz. ( Below)
(Below) John Shapland tempted this specimen thin lipped grey mullet of 4lb 1.5oz.
Smoothound are still producing good sport from marks along the coast with several good specimen tempted to just under 10lb.

Zenia Drury-Gregorek (myself) took her son Zaine, age 7 fishing for the day on the Specimen Tench and Orfe Lake and had a great day full of beautiful Tench! Zaine caught a personal best 4lb Golden Tench and Zenia caught her 1st ever Koi Tench and many Golden Tench up to 4lb+, all float fished off the bottom using strawberry soft hook pellets – Life is better with Fishing and it’s even better when you can share fishing moments with your son.
(Below)5C’s Member Maggot aka Mike Whitfield caught a Personal Best 64lb Wels Catfish from the Main Carp Lake, it gave him the fight of his life but he won the fight in the end! Maggot caught the Monster using Paradise Baits Castastrophic dumbells.
We had the lovely handsome actor that is Will Mellor of Hollyoaks fame come and stay with us bringing his wife, son and daughter. They had lots of fun fishing every day and caught some stunners along the way! Will said “Had a fantastic few days at Anglers Paradise with the family! Caught some great fish, had quality family time and met some lovely people.”
Impressive Fishing at Melbury
Steve Gliddon had an impressive few hours fishing at Melbury reservoir near Bideford in Devon. After work he managed 4 carp with a ghost common in low double figures, 18l10oz common, 19lb 8oz mirror and a new surface caught PB mirror at 20lb 5oz. .
