16 anglers fished, Paul’s winning net of carp fell to red maggot on the pole from peg 12 on the bottom pond , Nathans second place was also from the bottom pond, peg 15. The next 4 weights came from the top ,Martin’s 6 carp net on peg 7 gave him 3rd place, the forecast conditions did not materialize, and a pleasant mild autumnal day was enjoyed. As the whole country moves back into full lock down this competition might be the last for some time.

26 anglers fished , Team result NDMG 206 points Bude 145 points , The pleasant autumnal conditions provided for a good match, top weights were mainly skimmers on the feeder, but there were some good roach nets recorded to the pole. North Devon Match Group overturned the 30 point defect to win back the annual trophy 342 to 308 .

Worthy winner of Stafford Moors October Festival was Chris Cameron (Middy/Bait tech) with a total weight of 551lb 1oz and only 5 points who wins £1500 well done Chris

In 2nd place was Chris Davis with a total weight of 540lb 15oz with 6 Points who wins £1000 well done Chris

In 3rd place was Tommy Hillier with a total weight of 517lb 11oz with 6 Points who wins £750 well done

21 Anglers fished , conditions improved throughout the day and Colin has continued his great run on Tarka and this victory has pushed him into joint 2nd place in the league with 2 matches remaining. His catch of carp and skimmers was taken on peg 9 on the pole and paste. Opposite him on peg 18 was second placed Keith ,his catch was also taken on the pole but with soft pellets. Reg managed 3rd spot on peg 13 another pole catch this time on maggot. Craig on peg 16 also had carp and skimmers on the pole for 4th spot. Junior member Tyler on peg 6 came in 5th ,his catch included an 8lb 12oz carp.

Sell out 20 fished in atrocious conditions, constant heavy rain and gale force winds. The slightly more sheltered corner of lake 4 allowed winner , Martin to present corn and red maggot over micros in the margins. Second place Tim , fished the feeder to the island also on lake 4 , third spot and best weight on lake 3 was Tiverton’s Bruce Hunt.

24 fished, BCAC 163:5 NDMG 136:5 Brisk northerly breeze and bright conditions proved challenging for most but the Bude anglers adapted best and came out deserved winners. Top weight on the day went to Arnie on the bottom basin his catch of skimmers fell to bread on the feeder, Bude’s captain ,Simon put on a master class on the long pole for 2nd place, top weight for NDMG was John 3rd overall on the bottom basin. Thanks to Bude for hosting the event and we hope to hold the return leg on Tamar Lake in October.

Our top weight of the day was from Mark Layzelle who bagged 150lb 10oz from peg 3 on Tanners Lake.
In 2nd place was Lee Werrett with 136lb from peg 7 on Woodpecker Lake.
In 3rd place was Sam Powell with 148lb 3oz from peg 7 on Tanners Lake
In 4th place was Stuart Hathway with 101lb 12oz from peg 17 on Woodpecker Lake

13 fished Hot cloudy conditions made for a very tough match, bites were very hard to come by, John led the way with a mixed bag on the pole on maggot on peg 9 across the dam, Thomas had a similar net on the feeder for 2nd on peg 13 also on the far side . Martin had roach 2ft deep on the waggler and 20 ft deep on the pole for 3rd. Colin was top weight on the first bank , his 4th place was taken on the feeder.
