It seems a short time ago that a keen assembly of anglers met up in the Rising Sun in early March to raise a glass to the coming season. Optimism was abundant tales were told of seasons past and hope raised for the one commencing. Many offers were made of fishing days on prime beats and plans to fish. Talk of summer nights and sea trout; of spring salmon on daffodil decorated banks. Were has that season evaporated to as we contemplate an end of season meal at the Rising Sun where I am sure those familiar faces will once again meet to reflect upon triumphs and a few tribulations of the past six months. The event is sure to be a popular one so I would suggest contacting Julian at the Rising Sun without delay.

Sam Lunt, 24 from Manchester caught a Rare Black Eyed 21lb 10oz Common from the Specimen Carp Lake which is the biggest fish to date that Sam has caught from Anglers Paradise. Sam’s Story – “Last day of the week and still not caught anything over 20lbs, although the Specimen Carp Lake has been fishing hard, I fancied this was the best chance of getting one. I was down early in the morning but nothing for the 1st couple of hours, until a Pastie decided to take my Bait! I cast back out onto the spot and it wasn’t out much longer than 5 minutes before it ripped off, I knew when I hooked into it that it was no pastie this time!! After a hard battle crossing my other line it went into the net 21.10 Common……Happy Days. This was my biggest Common from Anglers Paradise, it was an unusual fish as it had a black eye and I have never caught a fish with one before which made it special!” Sam caught the Common on a KD Rig with a Mainline Cell Boilie. It may be a Common but it’s certainly not a Common Fish we see everyday!! WELL DONE SAM!
John Salt, 36, from Rugby, had a session to remember on the Main Carp Lake and the fact he had all his Family there made it even more Special! John caught a PB 67lb 8oz Cat, a 22lb 8oz Common, 21lb 4oz Mirror and a 24lb 8oz Mirror, this is also the first Fishing Photo he has ever had with all his Family in it, which is just perfect that they were there to share the moment with Daddy! John caught the Fish on All End Tackle PB Products using Hall’umbaits P1 Boilies. (Below)

Scott Brown, caught a scale perfect 19lb 3oz Mirror from the Main Carp Lake, it may not be a 20 or 30, but when they look like this, it really is irrelevant! Scott caught the stunner using Finnforce Banoffee Pop Ups on a Stiff Hinged Rig. (Below)
Dean Sinclair, 30 from Watford caught the Famous Tadpole at 29lbs 7oz from the Specimen Carp Lake using Mainline Cell to attract the Beauty making it a New PB for him too! (Below)
Scott Vern, 29 from Okehampton caught his 1ST EVER UK 30 from the Kracking Carp Lake. Below is the latest result from Stafford Moor as sent to me by Joanne Combes:- Never do understand the points system perhaps someone could explain and I will put explanation on the site as an article!
The Pairs festival at Stafford was a 2 day festival with 78 guys fishing . Winners were the same winners as last year who were Ben Hagg & Lee Werrett who won with just 4 points the perfect score ! In second place was Martin Preston & Scott Puddy with 5 points , in third place with 7 points was Peter Upperton & Robbie Taylor , in forth place with 9 points was Steve Ford & Chris Cameron.
Norman Martin and Jim Lawries won this years Continental Pairs Match at Upper Tamar lake. Norman putting together a fine net of mostly roach totaling 48lb 12oz and JIm a net of 43lb again mostly roach a paired total of 91lb 12oz. The runners up had a total of 77lb.
Stewart Lister had the biggest individual net of the day at 51lb.
Andy Seery also commented on the match result where the two anglers used his new bait to great effect.
Norman Martin and Jim Lawrie fish Simon Poynters first ever continental pairs comp, the two boys fished an incredible match just 6ft apart and landed an incredible 93lbs of silvers at 3.6m to hand ,both lads fed small balls of GB sprinkled with our Little Red Devil Micros! This outstanding performance won them first place in the pairs! All of these new baits are now available direct from myself ,the Little Red Micros are a 2.3mm slowbreak down bait ,ideal for the summer and hot weather when you get pestered by small fish and you want a bait not to just dissolve,it has good holding powers of the Go-nut smell and attractant ,when you damp they release bright red plumes when entering the water, they seem to be working really well with the carp and better skimmers!
Andy will have a website to promote the baits where people can order direct from Andy of all the bait used on Facebook on his fishing adventures.
